We are happy to invite you to the 20th Aikido Summer Camp in Croatia!
This year we will be practicing a day longer: July 31 – August 6, as there will be several new teachers. There will also be two afternoons off to relax and spend some time hiking or on the beach. The program will also be enriched with a soundbath and a concert/party to celebrate the 20th anniversary!
Aikido practice, Misogi, Kenkodo and Ki practice for all levels will be instructed by the following teachers:
- Shihan Maurizio Volpe, Philip Burgess, Bernhard Boll
- Davide Rizzi, Mirco Angeletti, Jayesh Karadia, Joachim von Rost, Marijan Kudrna
It will also be possible to conduct examinations.
As usual, the camp is situated on Velebit mountain (Baške Oštarije), 19 km from the Adriatic sea (Karlobag), and in the protected area of Velebit Nature Park. The dojo (tent) is situated on a meadow, in the beautiful and quiet mountain surrounding.
During the camp, free time can be used for hiking in the Velebit mountain (924 m a.s.l.), which is a Croatian national park, as well as for swimming in the Adriatic sea. (Transportation to the beach during afternoon breaks will be arranged each morning after practice.)
There will be one organized hiking trip, details will be arranged the day before.

Hostel Baške Oštarije, 400m from the dojo: Please reserve directly as soon as possible, as space is limited. When registering, please emphasize that you are Aikido Camp guests! Reservations are possible by e-mail or telephone: rcbaskeostarije@gmail.com, +38553674003 (they speak Croatian, English and Italian). Price for one night + lodging tax is 20 €, and price of breakfast is 10 €. Lunch and dinner are a la carte for both hostel guests and for non-guests.
